For all their pretensions at being men of ideas, Leftists rarely try to win a debate on ideas. If they encounter a real opposition, all their feigned civility flies out the window. Of course the leaders continue to pretend to be civilised and cultured, but ranks are given the task of brutally attack the opponent on personal issues; with invented lies and allegations, abusive language, attacks on the family members and private life.
With their control of media, they throw so much mud that some of it is bound to stick. By the time their lies are exposed to be lies, elections are over, and object of their attack stands defeated and finished.
And so is with AAP and Kiran Bedi.
The rank and file of AAP is engaged in smear campaign against Kiran Bedi, because she has taken away their only plank against BJP-lack of a credible CM candidate.
BJP and Kiran Bedi need to handle this very maturely.
Of course this is rule number 12 of the Rules for Radicals by Left’s guru of tactics-the thug Saul Alinsky.
The rule reads:RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
