Work creates character. Welfare State treats human beings as cattle that are to be fed, without they having to do anything. And effect is that Civilisation breaks down among the recipients of the Welfare benefits. One unintended benefit of the struggle to live on his own is that man becomes civilised. The destruction caused by the Welfare State, the great Leftist hope after communism and socialism proper collapsed, is just beginning to be obvious. Its consequences will be with us only God knows for how many centuries. Because in Welfare State, the Leftists have successfully married democracy and collectivisation of incomes, and therefore given the politicians’ greed for power, any correction seems impossible before complete collapse.
