Milords, Your Comments Are Uncalled For
Soon after the CJI praising the PM, Delhi HC makes equally unnecessary comments regarding preparations for the upcoming visit of the US President. Firstly, the petition itself should not have been entertained. It is tantamount to interference in the policy making functions of the Executive. If citizens are not happy with a policy they can demonstrate against it, or try to defeat the party responsible for it in elections. But they can not approach Courts to have particular policy framed, unless absence of it is violating a Fundamental Right, or to have a particular policy repealed, unless it is Unconstitutional.
