Of Saving The Environment
1. Environment continuously repairs and restores itself. 2. Where it doesn't, is because we have not become rich to the extent we have become numerous at a particulars place. For example, our rivers are sewers not because industries are discharging untreated effluent in them, that may be true at few places, but because our cities and towns are discharging untreated human waste in them. They are doing so because we can not afford sewerage system because we have not become rich enough to do so because we have not industrialised because we are socialists and thugs are ruling us because we vote them into power. 3. Our rivers are drying because we are pumping ground water because we have not build enough storage to trap rain water because environmentalists won't let us do so and politicians and bureaucrats are too corrupt to stand up to them. We are pumping more water because we have switched to cash crops which need more water. We have switched to cash crops because population from the villages has not been absorbed into industries, and cash crops are the only means to earn some income above subsistence. 4. Forests are being cut because those around them are abjectly poor because they have not been absorbed into industries because there are no industries because socialists are ruling us. The poor therefore become available to smugglers of wood to cut the trees surreptitiously. Smuggling of Red Sanders is a case in study. 5. We are losing our wildlife because those living around forests are abjectly poor and for a small sum are ready to kill animals for the poachers. Those living around forests are abjectly poor because we have not industrialised to the extent we have grown in numbers because socialists are ruling us. 6. Lack of development is the only danger for the environment. But to understand this simple but basic truth, environmentalists need to become honest seekers of truth, not Leftist ideologues for whom ideology is the truth, and our educated need to learn think and analyse, and to know the world beyond their own home, instead of picking up catch phrases from the media.
To sum, it is the basic characteristic of a subsistence economy that people cut trees in their forests, kill wildlife, and release their untreated waste into their environment. And they stop doing so once, and as soon as, they become industrialised.
